Course Description: ARMADA’s Media Relations “Survival Skills” Training Course is focused on developing the tools necessary for an organization’s leadership to properly and professional deal with the news media. No matter if the news is positive or negative, media coverage greatly impacts the general public’s opinion of your organization and its mission.
The course will provide the participants with the foundation of effective communications, understanding the news media, how to properly prepare for the news media during critical incidents, how to write and prepare media releases, and conduct practical exercises including videotaped media interviews.
Course Length: One and a half days.

Hospital Incident Command System (HICS)

Course Summary: This curriculum is designed to provide hospital staff with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively manage a disaster or emergency event within their facility using the Hospital Incident Command System concepts and resources. This course will assist facilities with compliance related to NIMS and the Department of Homeland Security, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agency mandates and standards.
The course can be customized to meet the training needs of hospital staff depending on their familiarity and knowledge of HICS along with the position they would potentially fill. Intermediate and advanced level HICS courses and/or section-specific workshops can be conducted for staff with a need for more in-depth, detailed information related to incident command principles.
