ARMADA VP receives distinguished service award

Dale Shipley, Vice President of Emergency Management and Homeland Security for ARMADA Ltd., has received the 2007 Lacy E. Suiter Distinguished Service Award from the National Emergency Management Association.

Transition Team Leaders

Mr. Shipley is currently serving as the Coordinator of the Public Safety Sub-group which falls under the Community Safety and Security Area for the Strickland-Fisher Transition Team.

Mr. Shipley is responsible for evaluating the Department of Public Safety’s current practices, budget, regulations and overall performance.

Mayor Michael Coleman, the Chair of the Strickland – Fisher Transition Team, recently commented on the members of the Transition Team:

"We are excited about the committed and talented leaders from across our state who have agreed to head up these government review teams," Coleman said. "They will evaluate what our state is doing right and where we can improve, and report their findings to Governor-elect Strickland to help guide his administration."
