Lee Foster, CEM, Director of Preparedness Programs for ARMADA Ltd., has been named Vice-President of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) Region 5. Mr. Foster was named to the position at the organization’s annual conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mr. Foster has more than 14 years of experience in program policy, development, and implementation. Since joining ARMADA in 2012, Mr. Foster has served as Project Manager for more than 75 Emergency Preparedness and Security projects. As Director of Preparedness Programs, he has direct involvement with all preparedness projects from business development, to proposal development to direct project delivery. Key projects which Mr. Foster has led include ARMADA’s engagement with the Connecticut Emergency Management Action Plan, State of Ohio Recovery Tabletop Exercise, Raytheon Missile Systems Emergency Preparedness Auditing, the National Emergency Management Association (NEMA) review of the 2016 Republican National Convention, City of Boston Police Department Regional Investigation and Intelligence Full Scale Exercise, Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security’s Central Ohio Cybersecurity Workgroup as well as roughly 75 Homeland Security exercise and training programs ranging from workshops to Full Scale Exercises. “Lee’s peers selected him for this leadership position because they know and appreciate his knowledge and experience in emergency management,” ARMADA President Tom Foos said. “Every day, we see the need for coordination and leadership to handle emergencies effectively.
